The Realme X2 Pro has finally received the July 2021 Android Security Patch update with Realme rolling it out in the latest August 2021 update for the device.
This update is a security update with the July 2021 security patch despite the month of July over 10 days ago. The update is termed as Realme X2 Pro August 2021 update on the official Realme Community post.
The latest update is based on Android 11 as the Realme X2 Pro Android 11 stable update has already been released in June 2021 in India and April 2021 in China. However, the Beta users in India received the same update in May 2021.
In order to ensure the stability of the update, there will be a staged rollout as per the official post. The update will be randomly pushed out to a limited number of users and will have a broader rollout in a few days after making sure there are no critical bugs.
Hence, some users may receive the Realme X2 Pro August 2021 update with the July 2021 Android Security Patch sooner while some may receive it later.
The Realme X2 Pro was released in October 2019 with an Android 9 Pie out-of-the-box.

Along with the July 2021 Android Security Patch update, the latest Realme X2 Pro August 2021 Update has also fixed some system and gaming issues which is a piece of good news for the Battlegrounds Mobile India players.

The Realme X2 Pro received its first major OS update with Android 10 in March 2020. It then received its second/last major OS update with Android 11 in April 2021.
As it has bagged two major OS updates now, the chances of a third update with Android 12 are highly unlikely. Therefore, it is NOT in line with the upcoming Android 12 update.

The Realme X2 Pro August 2021 update with July 2021 Android Security Patch is being rolled out in phases. Hence, it will reach all the users soon.
Once the update is available on your device, you can head over to Settings >> About Phone >> Software Update section to update your Realme device with the latest security/software update.
"Once again, this is a phased rollout and will be available to all the users very soon. Kindly be patient and wait for the update on your device. The manual update link will be available on the website→ https://www.realme.com/in/support/software-update".
