Realme has released September 2021 Security Patch for Realme 5. Similar to Realme 5i and Realme 5s this device is getting security patches with August & September 2021 integrated along with system stability improvements.
Realme 5 was released on August 2019 with Android 9 Pie out-of-the-box
Realme 5 got upgraded to Android 10 with Realme UI. But it is yet to get the Android 11 update, there are confirmations about the update from Realme and users are tired of asking questions about Android 11. Just recently its bigger brother Realme 5 Pro got the Android 11 stable update.
