Soon after releasing the Poco M2 Android 11 Update this week, Xiaomi has hit the home run once again with the Poco M2 Pro Android 11 Update. The stable update has been released for the Pilot testers in India with a wider rollout expected after its success.
Xiaomi also released the Redmi 9 Prime major Android 11 Update this week with an MIUI 12.5 skin. However, the Poco M2 Pro has failed to receive the MIUI 12.5 and the update has been released with the same MIUI 12 skin.
This is a stable update for the Poco M2 Pro with the device receiving its first major OS update. This update brings a whole lot of new and exciting features for the users. Along with the stable Android 11 update, an August 2021 Android Security Patch has also been added.
The Poco M2 Pro was released in July 2020 with an Android 10 out-of-the-box.

The Poco M2 Pro has now received one major OS update with Android 11. Therefore, it is eligible for the upcoming Android 12 update.
Hence, the Android 12 will most probably be the last major OS update on this device. However, it will continue to receive MIUI updates after the Android 12 Update.
The Poco M2 Pro Android 11 Update has been rolled out in India for the Pilot testers only. Hence, it is expected to reach all users soon after the update's success.
